What are antenatal classes?

Antenatal classes are educational sessions designed to prepare expectant parents for childbirth and the early days of parenthood. Led by experienced professionals, such as NHS midwives, these classes cover a range of topics, including pregnancy health, childbirth techniques, pain management options, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Antenatal classes aim to provide parents with information, practical skills, and emotional support to help them feel confident and prepared for the journey ahead. At Nurture with Knowledge, our antenatal classes offer a unique blend of expertise and warmth, fostering a supportive environment where friendships blossom and support networks thrive.

When do you start antenatal classes?

Most expectant parents begin attending classes typically after 30 weeks of pregnancy. Starting classes around this time allows for ample preparation before childbirth while ensuring that you have enough time to absorb the information and practice the techniques taught in the classes. However, some classes may have limited availability, so it's a good idea to inquire early and secure your spot. At Nurture with Knowledge, our antenatal classes are designed to accommodate expectant parents at various stages of pregnancy, ensuring that you receive the support and information you need whenever you decide to join.
