“Whitley was my midwife through the antenatal and postnatal period with my first-born. She supported me through my anxieties within my pregnancy and showed nothing but care and compassion towards myself and my partner. Whitley offered a person-centred approach and tailored our care to what we personally needed support with. Overall the transition to parenthood became much easier with the knowledge and reassurance that Whitley was able to give us and we can’t thank her enough”

“Having Whitley on side to answer all my antenatal questions was so helpful. The continuity of care I received from my own community midwife team wasn't great and left me feeling unprepared for birth. Being able to speak to such an approachable and friendly qualified midwife put my mind at ease and I learnt a lot! Whitley explained everything so clearly so that my husband and I knew what to expect.”

“We had a one-to-one session with Whitley at 30weeks, where she discussed and went through a varity of feeding positions and how and when to collect colostrum as I wanted to breastfeed.

She spoke about the different stages of labour and the pain relief options which was so helpful as I didn’t know much about them. Whitley gave my husband helpful advice on what to expect and how to help me during the labour. One thing he found really helpful was her suggestion for him being in charge of timing my contractions. It made him feel part of the early stages and feel in control.

Whitley also saw us after giving birth and checked over our baby, she suggested a host of useful hints and tips that proved invaluable in the first few weeks of being at home.”

“Attended group classes which were really informative and felt definitely helped us prepare for the arrival of our first baby. Whitley is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and happy to answer any questions. Would highly recommend these classes.”

Jodie

“I would recommend Whitley’s class to any expecting parents. Every session was super informative as well as presented in a way that was engaging and interesting. For someone who was really worried about labour, Whitley has made me feel super at ease as well as geared up with all the information I need to make informed decisions on what I do and don’t want. The class setting was lovely with coffee and cake and it was such a nice opportunity to be amongst other expectant parents”

Lori

“Could not recommend Whitley and her antenatal classes Nuture with Knowledge enough! Bring new to the area I was unsure which antenatal classes to attend for my first pregnancy. Whitley came highly recommended and after completing the antenatal course I cannot recommend her enough.

My husband and I learnt so much throughout the three week course. It was interesting and enjoyable as Whitley made the course interactive and fun using various props and by physically showing us various instruments that we may see during labour. Whitley delivered it in a personable, professional manner drawing on her years of midwifery experience and of being a mum herself. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”

“My friend and I are pregnant and we really liked the idea of having private antenatal classes at one of our homes with our partners as a 4 rather than as part of a group. Whitley was more than happy to accommodate this and was really friendly, knowledgeable and informative and went above and beyond to ensure all of our questions were answered and covered any topics we had in mind. She had plenty of props to really demonstrate the labour process and also brought with her instruments that we may see during birth so that we were fully prepared and felt more confident making decisions during the birthing process. We also learnt about caring for baby when they arrive and my partner got to put on a nappy and baby grow for the first time 🤣 High recommend Whitley. Very passionate about her career and this shines through in her work and enthusiasm. Thanks again! Feeling a lot more confident going into motherhood after our sessions :)”
